The Brio Moderna 730 Series 4-Stage Reverse Osmosis Bottleless Water Cooler is a freestanding, floor-standing point-of-use water dispenser that connects directly to a building's cold water line, eliminating the need for replacement water bottles. It dispenses hot, cold, and room-temperature water. Incoming water passes through four stages of filtration: a sediment filter that removes sand, rust, dirt, and other suspended solids; a pre-carbon filter that reduces chlorine and unpleasant tastes and odors; a reverse-osmosis membrane; and a post-carbon filter that performs a final polish to remove residual impurities. Per the manufacturer, the reverse-osmosis stage removes contaminants including lead, arsenic, fluoride, and total dissolved solids (TDS), with a stated TDS reduction of up to 90% depending on source water quality. The unit has an on-panel TDS readout. Because it uses reverse osmosis, the dispenser produces reject water and must be connected to a drain. Installation includes a drain saddle that connects the unit's RO waste line to a standard 1.5 in. outer-diameter drain pipe, in addition to the cold water supply connection. The dispenser is operated from a touch panel with a 24/7 illuminated LED display that also shows a clock. Cold water can be set to three temperature levels (C1 through C3) and hot water to three levels (H1 through H3). A larger solenoid valve provides faster dispensing, and the dispense point sits 11.5 in. above the drip tray to accommodate larger bottles and pitchers. The cooler includes a UV self-cleaning system that runs on a continuous automatic cycle, on for 40 minutes and off for 140 minutes while the dispenser is plugged in and on; water can still be dispensed while the UV light is on. The hot water button is protected by a child safety lock to help prevent unintended dispensing, and the heating feature can be switched off entirely. The unit is for indoor use, installed upright on a hard, level floor near a grounded outlet, with at least 8 in. of clearance behind it for airflow.
